EA has quietly revealed that it plans to shut down servers for a number of PlayStation 3/Xbox 360-era video games later this 12 months.

Although the company has yet to make any official statement on the matter, Pure Xbox noticed the games Crysis 3, Dead Space 2, and Dante’s Inferno had been added to a listing on EA’s web site that goes over when on-line companies ended for varied titles.

The information comes months after EA introduced plans to delist and retire online companies for a number of Battlefront video games.

Crysis 3, Dead Space 2 & Dante’s Inferno on-line functionality ends later this year

Crysis three will be the primary to have its servers shut down on September 7, 2023. Following that, on-line help for Dead Space 2 and Dante’s Inferno will finish on December 8, 2023. This is the same day servers for Battlefield 1943, Battlefield Dangerous Firm, and Battlefield Dangerous Company 2 will shut down as previously announced.

Notably, not like the aforementioned Battlefield games, it doesn’t at the moment seem that EA plans to delist any of the affected video games. This means players will still be ready to purchase it for the foreseeable future.

Whereas the information will certainly disappoint some fans and recreation preservation advocates, it’s not really shocking. Within the instances of Dead Space 2 and Dante’s Inferno, multiplayer is relegated to a few lesser-recognized modes that fans would be forgiven for not even figuring out about.

As for Crysis 3, the game received a remaster in 2021 that doesn’t even embrace multiplayer, so it’s hard to imagine there being a huge neighborhood of on-line gamers for the original.
